Pandora Radio

Pandora radio is an online website that offers music. You have the luxury of choosing what song or artist you want to listen to. Individuals have to make an account before Pandora will let you listen to the music. Pandora is not only accessible on your computer but also on Netflix’s, apple devices and android phones. After you have listened to

I listen to Pandora a lot during the day at work. I always assumed it was a free unlimited website for music but i recently learned that wasn't the case. Pandora offers two options, one being that you can listen for free each month for 40 hours, after that you must start paying. If you decide to continue listening you must pay 0.99$. This is great for Pandora to keep the trend of being a free and cheap site for users to listen to music. They can also make a small amount of money on top of their advertisement sales. Pandora radio offers advertisement commercials after you have listened to a couple of songs. These commercials last anywhere from 30 second to a minute. Pandora also offers a like button; this can help them determine what kind of music to play for you. They use the button as a focus group to help provide better customer service to their users.

  1. Pandora is definitely something that helps make the work day go by! I've almost used up my 40 hours for the month which is something I've never done before. Having multiple options, free and cheap is great for consumers while allowing the company to generate more of a profit. I've found new artists I like as well as songs never released to radio from my favorite artists because of the stations I've created. It's really great how custom the site can be, which is exactly what consumers want--personalization.

  2. Great post! Once of my favorite features of Pandora is how you can customize your own "station". You can choose an artist, and not only will it choose music from them, but also music from similar artists.

Like Hanna said, consumers love the ability to personalize ANYTHING! With that being said, not too many consumers can admit that they do not enjoy music of some sort. Pandora has achieved a goal by their innovation!

  3. I love Pandora! I think it's a genius idea and it has introduced tons of new artists to me. The only downfalls of it is when your "free" hours are used up, the ads, and only being able to skip a certain amount of songs an hour. I like how it's an app for phones now because I listen to it constantly, especially when I forget my ipod. Cool post!

  4. Great post - Pandora is awesome. I love having customized stations and really think the music they put on them fits the category. Sometimes I hate listening to the commercials on it so I've even considered upgrading to the paid version (haven't done it yet). But they really do offer a great service.
